The Friends of Times Beach Nature Preserve

Wildlife
of Times Beach

The Friends of Times Beach Nature Preserve has two primary missions. They are: 1) advocacy for the protection and conservation of the nature preserve and 2) educating about the importance of the place and the wildlife that depend upon the nature preserve. Community engagement has been and will remain a central theme.

While we have a strong focus on the physical place, the Times Beach Nature Preserve, it is important to know that the place is a starting point from which we learn and teach about the wider region- including Buffalo's expansive waterfronts, urban ecology, the Niagara River corridor and Lake Erie, and the greater bioregion of which the Times Beach Nature Preserve is a critical part.  This includes promotion of wider issues such as bird and pollinator conservation, advocacy for headwaters forests, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and clean water protection. The Friends of Times Beach welcomes you to engage us and engage with us!
